I made several trips to our local Habitat for Humanity to sift through their warehouse of overstock buliding supplies in search of the "perfect" door. I LOVE Habitat for Humanity. Who doesnt love wandering endless aisles of new and used buliding supplies.
You can imagine the expressions I got when an unsuspecting helper came to see if I needed any assistance and I told them the door I was searching for was in fact for a headboard, not a door frame.
Of course I had to checkout the other areas for treasures too.
Finally I found the right door! I chose this door because of the narrower width and the design the wood grain creates. This door had a previous owner who gave it some tough love, so a bit of sanding and restaining will be in order. And yes I am currently on the hunt for a vintage doorknob to complete the look.
But of course I did not only come home with a door, but a window and shutter too. Because you can never have to many projects right?
