The Door Headboard

I frequent many DIY websites in search of the next big idea. I kept coming across multiple ways to repurpose old doors and one way sparked a particular interest, the headboard door. I have been wanting to replace my current bedframe for some time and this was the push I needed. I am currently on the hunt for the perfect discarded door. Craigslist and Value Village beware! Here are some of my inspirations!

I like the darker/cherry wood and the more "used" appearance. I have also decided that I will add a vintage door knob to my headboard, preferably out of head's way.

If a door headboard is not your flavor, I found this idea that would not require much skill or time, the fabric headboard. This one may make an appearance down the road when I have a spare bedroom...with a full bed.

I also came across another idea while searching for headboard ideas, the door table! This project will have to be filed for awhile due to my lack of space, but it will resurface once I can expland my living quarters.
